I am an aspiring science writer and current Ph.D. student at Indiana University in Bloomington. I study mating behavior and sexual selection in seahorses, spending my summers either out in the field (near the mouth of the Tampa Bay) or in the lab (Tennessee Aquarium).
I love to hike and generally spend two or three afternoons a week at Lake Monroe with my three-year-old coonhound, Barley. I also like to play pool and shoot on a local league. Last spring, we won our division and advanced to the amateur tournament in Las Vegas!
Hi Jen
Just read your blog site. You’ve become quite the biologist/researcher. Guess that’s to be expected for a PhD candidate. Very will done. Do you think the contraceptive concept will work for the over populating wolves, cougars and black bears. Seems like quite an undertaking, not to mention expensive.
At some point in time something will have to be done. I’ve always figured hunting is the right answer.
